Recently, 11 Krista kindergarten centres in the northern region teamed up and held a 'Mini Olympics' for the Krista children of their centers. The event got off to an early start at the Stadium Negeri Pulau Pinang and it was officiated by Yang Berhormat Tanasekharan, ADUN, Bagan Dalam, Pulau Pinang. A few hundred Krista children participated in the sporting events with enthusiasm and energy, watched by their parents who were also present to cheer them on. The event got off to an early start at the Stadium Juara, Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur and was officiated by Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dato' Hajah Napsiah Binti Omar, ex-Minister from the Kementerian Perpaduan Negara dan Pembangunan Masyarakat. A few hundred Krista children participated in the sporting events with enthusiasm and energy, watched by their parents who were present to cheer them on. This day could definitely be seen as a part of the Olympics 2008 held in Beijing; as the vigor shown by the children that day was impressive. Krista teachers' contributions to early childhood education were duly recognised when some of them were given awards at Institut Mayang's 'The Nationwide Early Childhood Education Teachers Day Celebration 2008', held at Menara MAA in Kuala Lumpur on 17th May 2008.
In collaboration with Institut Mayang, Krista for the first time penetrated the Whiz Kids Fair 2008 at PWTC. The weekend saw a large crowd gathering at the booth, hungry for more information.

Krista pre-school centre operators and teachers from the south gathered for a teambuilding session in Senai, Johor. The theme of this session is “Developing & Raising Individual, Business and Organisation Towards Excellence & Professionalism? Participants indulged in a refreshing as well as an opportune time for personal development, reflections and progress within an atmosphere of teamwork and unity.
Krista participated in the recent conference, “Malaysia & UK : Forward Together in Developing Early Childcare & Pre-school Education?held in Kuala Lumpur by the United Kingdom Trade & Investment, the Malaysian Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development. Krista's Chairman, Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dato' Dr Yahaya Ibrahim, Krista's management staff and a number of Krista pre-school centre operators attended the conference.
Krista was given due recognition by the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development (MECD) for contributing to the efforts of the Ministry in developing the local franchise industry. Krista's Chairman, Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dato' Dr Yahaya Ibrahim received the recognition from the MECD Minister, Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin on behalf of Krista in a ceremony at the Ministry in Putrajaya.
With the conscience to constantly reach out to the needy, this year saw Krista making its way to Rumah Charis to make merriment by providing dinner as well as giving away of gifts to the residence of the home.
Krista joined the MATRADE delegation to Dubai and then to Beijing to create awareness for the Krista brand in those regions through the trade exhibitions held there. The Deputy Minister of Entrepreneurial and Cooperative Development, Dato' Khamsiyah Yeop visited the Krista booth in Dubai and encouraged the Krista personnel there.
Krista participated in the International Trade and Industry Fair in Karachi, Pakistan and attracted some keen interest in the Krista Kindergarten Franchise Programme.
Krista shared its experiences in the early childhood industry with the graduating students of the early childhood education programme in Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris during a session held at the university's campus in Tanjung Malim, Perak.
Krista's book titled, “Tun Dr Mahathir's Legacy - An Inspirational Learning Experience?was officially launched by the Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia, Yang Berhormat Datuk Mustapa Mohamed at the Perdana Leadership Foundation in Putrajaya.
Krista has been awarded the SMI & SME Worldwide Network 'Business of the Year Award'. The Award Presentation Ceremony was held in Kuala Lumpur with the Entrepreneurial and Cooperative Development Minister, Yang Berhormat Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin as guest of honour and the Tourism Deputy Minister, Dato' Lim Siang Chai as the patron.
The World English Language League (WELL) presented Krista with the Award for The Advancement of English Language in Early Childhood Education in recognition of the contributions made by Krista.

Krista celebrated excellence in early childhood education with its kindergarten operators and teachers through its Gala Night & Awards Presentation in Kuala Lumpur. The event marked another milestone for Krista, one that it would cherish and take pride in. The guest of honour was YABhg Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia. Krista believes in giving due recognition to these Krista operators for their outstanding services and contributions and this event was organised to realise such recognitions.
Krista made another entry into The Malaysia Book of Records for its successful attempt in producing 'The Biggest Collection Of Art Pieces By Preschoolers'. This is Krista's fifth national record after having achieved four other records for the longest painting by children, longest recycle colour pencil replica, biggest hand made nursery rhyme book as well as being Malaysia's largest kindergarten chain. Krista children nationwide kicked off this project by creating art pieces themed 'My Hero?at their respective centres. All these art pieces were then exhibited at the Annexe Gallery Kuala Lumpur. Towards the last few days of the exhibition, these art pieces were sold where the proceeds from the sales was set apart as a donation to the Persatuan Kebajikan Kasih. This event was witnesses by Yang Berhormat Puan Noriah Kasnon, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Women, Community and Development.
